Send an ".exe" file via GMail...
Even yahoo webmail have an antivirus scanner but they allow to send the .exe file and if it contains a virus it cleans them and send.
In GMail you cannot send or receive emails with exe, dll, ocx, com or bat attachments even if they are sent in a zipped (.zip, .tar,.tgz, .taz, .z, .gz) format. (The .rar format is still allowed).
There are some google hacks by which u can send an "exe" file and they are:
- Use free hosting file service like "Rapidshare" and others to upload your file and than send the link of your uploaded file in your message.
- Rename the file to bypass the GMail scanner.
For e.g: Rename Opera.exe to Opera.exe.wmv. - Use a compression software other than "zip" like "WinRAR" which compresses files in .rar format.Gmail currently does not block or scans the .rar filetypes.If in future Gmail might not allow to send .rar file than try .r2,.r3 for different attachments.
Increase GMail speed and fix login problems.
It can get really tough "logging into" GMail. Either the browser will stuck on an intermediate GMail login screen that says " Loading.. " or will prompt saying try again in few seconds.
For above problems or problems related to login try something given below:
- To instantly load GMail inbox, press Ctrl+F5 while GMail loading screen appears.
- Try using http://mail.google.com/mail rather than using http://www.gmail.com.
- Clean your history, cookies or temporary internet files before you login.
- If browser crashes before loading GMail inbox,try http://mail.google.com/mail/h... to switch to standard HTML view.
- To Bypass the default browser check by typing http://mail.google.com/gmail?... -use it on non-supported browser.
- If nothing works try to add GMail module into your personalized view in google.com and try login using that, which will load fast.

- Open start menu and click on the Run.
- Type "WinWord" in the Run and there opens word document.
- Quickly add a series of numbers.
- Choose Tools | Customize (or double-click an empty spot on any toolbar) to open the Customize dialog box.
- Click the Commands tab and choose All Commands from the Categories list box.
- Click in the Commands list box and scroll down to select ToolsCalculate.
- Drag the ToolsCalculate item to the toolbar where you want it to appear.
- Click Close to close the Customize dialog box.
- Gain fast access to formatting/layout options.
- To open the Paragraph dialog box, double-click on an indent marker on the horizontal ruler.
- To access bullet or number options, double-click on a bullet character or number in a numbered list.
- To access AutoShape options, double-click on an AutoShape.
- Use Replace all to globally reformat text
- Choose Edit | Replace and click More (if necessary) to expand the dialog box.
- Click in the Find What text box and click Format | Style. Choose the name of the ugly style from the Find Style list box and click OK.
- Click in the Replace With text box and again click Format | Style. This time, choose Normal from the Find Style list box and click OK.
- Click Replace All and Word will apply your Normal style to all the paragraphs carrying the style you want to get rid of.
Just click within the row, hold down [Alt][Shift] and press the up arrow key twice. Each time you press the arrow key, Word will move the row up one. You can select multiple rows to move them as a block, and you can use the down arrow key if you want to move text down instead of up.
Word's short-term memory always wants to start you off at the beginning again. You can work around this if you press [Shift][F5] as soon as the document opens. [Shift][F5] is the Go Back shortcut, which cycles you between your four most recent edits during a Word session.
All you have to do is press the [Shift] key and pull down the File menu. Word will add the Save All command to the menu, above the Save As command. Just choose Save All and Word will prompt you to save each document (or template) that has any unsaved changes.
To make a vertical selection, hold down [Alt] as you drag down through the text you want to highlight.
To copy text formatting, select the desired text and press [Ctrl][Shift]C. To paste that formatting onto other text, select that text and press [Ctrl][Shift]V. If you select part of a paragraph, you'll be transferring character formats (bold, point size, font, etc.). Select an entire paragraph, you'll transfer paragraph formats (line spacing, alignment, indents, etc.) as well.
To use this technique, click on the item you want to copy (it can be a selection of text or an object in a document) and hold down [Ctrl] so that the mouse pointer turns into a plus sign. Then drag the item—it will become a copy of the item—to the spot where you want it to go.
Rather creating a shortcut, one can open the word document by using the "Run" option in start menu.
Once you have access to the Calculate command, here's how you use it. Simply highlight a series of numbers (either horizontally or vertically) and click your Tools Calculate button. Word will display the sum in the status bar, or it will also place that sum on the clipboard.
To open the Page Setup dialog box, double-click on the horizontal or vertical ruler.
Now suppose you have a document that contains scores of paragraphs that are formatted with some ugly custom style used by another department or external partner. You need the text formatted with your own standard Normal style instead. To make this change throughout the document:

Remote Shutdown PC via Email
Remote shutdown your Windows XP machine with a text message and Outlook.
When your are not at home shutdown your PC just via a single mail.One thing should be kept in mind that this method will turn off a computer with an “constant” internet connection i.e.(cable,DSL).
Basically you setup a rule in outlook to look for say a keyword in the subject line of an email. Then you select run application as the action for when that keyword is found. Then all you have to do is write a simple dos batch file and use the shutdown command with the -f parameter to ensure the shutdown is not aborted by any running applicatios. After that the rest is simple you simply send a sms text message from your cell phone or other source to your email address. You must have autmotic send and recieve turned on for this to work.
Extract them to your C: drive so the path to the shutdown batch file is C:\sms_functionsshutdown.bat Now open outlook and adjust your settings to send and recieve email every minute on the minute (1 minute for testing time can be increased if a delayed shutdown is desired.)now in Outlook in the file menu click Tools and select Rules and Alerts with the Rules and Alerts dialog open click the options button on the far upper right portion of the dialog window. Choose import rules from the options dialog and browse to the file.
Now send a text message from your cell phone to your email address and in the subject use the keyphrase smsshutdown%% and send it. When the email is recieved and found with the smsshutdown%% in the subject Outlook runs the dos batch file containing the shutdown -f command and shut’s down your computer.
